Information and Advice Web Sites.

We are working with several Healthwatch providers who are using our technology to provide their commissioners with an engaging and accessible 'information and advice' web site, helping local authorities and primary health care trusts meet the updated information duties of The Care Act 2014.

Our solution provides an 'information and advice' portal for citizens and professionals, that can be populated with local data such as:

  • a searchable directory of care and support providers: so that users can view the type and range of services available locally.
  • a calendar of events and activities: helping reduce isolation and encouraging social contact.
  • a resource library of useful, downloadable documents, files, factsheets and policies.
  • manageable sections, pages and blogs for publishing useful advice and guidance on a range of subjects and topics.
  • specific guidance for carers and those seeking independent financial advice - key areas of information under the new legislation.

The site is built on 'responsive' technology - meaning it works seamlessly across desktop, tablet and mobile devices, and is built with a series of features to enhance web site accessibility.

Healthwatch administrators have access to manage all aspects of the web site, or if preferred, service providers can be given a 'login' to update their own content - helping reduce administration time. Equally 'peer to peer' content is encouraged through the use of reviews, ratings, blog articles and feedback mechanisms.

Our system is scalable, robust and can be deployed to meet the April 2015 deadline for the implementation of the first phase of The Care Act 2014.

If you'd like to arrange a demonstration, or just chat through in more detail - then please do get in touch with the Focus team.
